Bill McCartney Founder of Net4wiseowls

Forget the stereotypes…Bill McCartney is far from being your typical media geek.  Good humored, affable and incisive, he is

endlessly passionate about helping businesses to use social media effectively.  And with over 60 businesses now benefitting from his expertise, it’s no wonder he’s recognized as one of Northern Ireland’s leading authorities in this field.

For Bill, it’s all about client business growth.  To achieve this, he draws on his 17+ years’ corporate experience in Internet Technology and Leadership.  Today, through his Bangor-based business, Net4wiseowls, Bill works with a wide range of business owners, showing them how to engage effectively on social media in order to achieve dynamic sales growth.

He takes a bespoke approach, working closely with each client, drilling down to find out what makes the business tick, and building a picture of its customers, market, brand and competitors.  From this, he develops an effective social media strategy – one that will grow the customer base and identify/engage with influencers.   And remember, Bill’s primary goal is always to deliver an excellent return on investment.

Fortunately, when it comes to social media, Bill walks the talk, so you will find him active on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn. He is the social media mentor for the BeyondNI program and the founder and leader of the Northern Ireland Social Media Group on LinkedIn.

Given his acknowledged expertise, it’s no surprise that Bill is in regular demand as a Social Media keynote speaker, and he has contributed at many events throughout Northern Ireland.  These include being keynote speaker for the prestigious all-Ireland Tradelinks conference in June 2011.
